David Scott is Staff Veterinarian at the Carolina Raptor Center. He received his BS Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1988 and DVM from the University of Illinois in 1997, and has worked with many wildlife rehabilitation groups since then. He is also a software engineer and has developed the RaptorMed medical records software specifically designed for the medical management and husbandry of all types of animals. It is used at rehabilitation centers, in aquariums, and for permanent collections all over the world.

Her books include THE NOVELS OF BARBARA PYM (1989), WOMEN AND VIOLENCE IN LITERATURE: AN ESSAY COLLECTION (1990), MISOGYNY IN LITERATURE: AN ESSAY COLLECTION (1992), and ESSAYS FROM CONTEMPORARY CULTURE (2004, 5th Edition). The author of dozens of published articles, she received more than 20 grants for research and development and was the first woman to receive the UWSP University Scholar Award. Dr. Ackley earned a master's degree in English from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in English from Ball State University.

This hymnal was the "flagship" pew hymnal of the Presbyterian Church - USA (PC-USA) between 1992 and 2013, when the new GLORY TO GOD hymnal debuted. I can't honestly say I'm all that sorry to see it go: it was well-sewn with good thick pages and especially generous margin space, but the hymns themselves were almost always limited to only three or four verses and the four-part harmonies often verged on the banal. Verdict: A good book, a so-so hymnal. For about the same money consider GLORY TO GOD instead.

As a Church Organist playing in different Churches of different denominations, it is useful to have Hymnals from various traditions, because from time to time, I might be required to play a Hymn that may only be found in one Hymnal. Recently this happened with a Hymn that is only in the Presbyterian Hymnal which I didn't have. Getting my own copy allowed me to resolve this issue. This Hymnal that I recently purchased is in "as new" condition and is a valuable addition to my library of Hymnals. It will prove to be useful, enabling me to better equipped to meet demands as an organist. I am delighted with this Hymnal and its condition and very pleased to have it in my library of music.

Great Song Book

I bought this for a relative because I know she likes music and plays the piano. These are the traditional songs I heard and sang in church over the years. I recommend buying this if you like church hymns. They are uplifting and have the anointing of the Holy Spirit on them.

This hymnal was in great shape. It contains some of the hymns not included in the hymnals in my church.

This hymnal is as new as it can be for a book copyrighted 1990. It was definitely not used, so I'm happy with it.
